(...) In the sixth volume we have set ourselves the more challenging goal to undertake the design of a Universalis Cosmopgraphia, or a general description of the entire world, namely of heaven and earth. Hereby we will discover Harmonia Macrocosmica, the concordance and congruence of the greater world, which consists of three principles or beginnings and seven main qualities or compositions. In a new and original manner, we will show the concavity or inner roundness of the heavenly sphere. In a clear and concrete fashion, we will demonstrate and prove the convexity or outer roundness of the globe, namely of all the waters and the land areas not covered by water, the two bodies of which form a single round surface, which correctly corresponds to and agrees with the heavenly bodies in a certain proportion and comparison.
